
Guillermo Z. Martínez-Pérez (Madrid, 1979) holds a PhD in Health Sciences. He completed a Degree in History, Nursing & Podaitry, and an MSc in Telemedicine. In 2009, he quit clinical work and travelled to Uganda where he conducted his first ethnography in Africa. Since then, he’s alternated between managerial, education and research positions in The Gambia, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Nutrició Sense Fronteres, UNAIDS, ISGlobal, Médecins sans Frontières, Saragossa University, and FIND Global alliance for diagnostics, are among the institutions he’s worked with. His areas of expertise include eHealth; health economics; HIV/STD-prevention and self-diagnostics technologies; sex and gender research on/with vulnerable key populations, and traditional genital modifications. Anna Rosés i Belló (Barcelona, 1982) completed a Degree in Law, a Master in Public Health, and a Postgraduate Degree in Global Development. She has held various fieldwork positions in Mozambique for the Fundació Clínic per la Reserca Biomèdica, the NGO ActionAid Mozambique, and the Consejo Interhospitalario de Cooperación (CIC). In 2012 she returned to Barcelona to pursue her work in the translation of health research findings to policy and programmes. Since 2017, Anna is especially interested in human rights; the internally displaced, asylum-seekers and refugees; and in the empowerment of women. Anna is AfWORO’s Secretary.

Jorge Dominguez (Mallorca, 1986) completed a Degree in Translation and studied a Master in Conference Interpreting. He worked as a translator, interpreter and Spanish teacher in Spain, Jordan and Morocco. In 2017 he did a career shift and since, he has held several fieldwork positions in Morocco for Caritas, Médecins du Monde and IOM in migration related projects. Jorge is specially interested in migrant’s health, humanitarian assistance to key vulnerable populations and voluntary return and reintegration. Jorge is AfWORO’s Treasurer.
